Chagalamari Mission Field is in the Kurnool and Nandial districts of Andra Pradesh (Rayalaseama Area) .It covers about 100 villages. S.P.G. Miisionaries worked in this area about 200 years ago and people from Mala Community accepted Jesus as their saviour. When the Missionaries left the believers were left without any leadership and Christian fellowship for about 70 years. Dr. O.U. George and his wife Dr.Santhi George established a mission hospital in Chagalamari about 25 years ago. Their influence in the villages is one of the factors of Mission contact.

6 Church buildings have been constructed and dedicated during this 9 years period. Narasapuram Mission is a unit under the Chengannur Thumpamon Diocese functioning 30 km away from Chagalamari. Maidakur Mission under the Madras Culcutta Mission is another Mission assocated with the Changlamari Mission. Jeevan Jyothi Mission is another Mission working in this area. There is a total of over 1000 new believers and 12 new Church buildings for the new believers. The Church buildings are constructed with the donations received from individuals and parishes. The land for the Church buildings are donated by local villagers.

90 Percentage of the people are illiterate. Living conditions are very poor and unhygienic. Believers are labourers living in Huts thatched with grass.

Activities : Regular Sunday Service in all Churches and Mission Houses, Bible Classes, VBS, Nursery Schools, Arts and Sports Club, Tailoring Schools, small saving schemes, Deaddiction programs, Student's Conference in differnt Villages.

Marthoma Vidya Nikethan Boy's Hostel : 20 students from distant villages stay together and attend the local school. (5th Standard to 10th Standard).
